And more pictures. Yesterdays post was all from June...today is part of July.
Down by the river.
This photo and the next were taken the morning of July 10. Yes folks...that is snow on the ground.

A very old military vehicle left to rust out on the land.
The remains of the Amudsun boat in Cambridge Bay.
Read about it here.
My best 'Captain Morgan' pose.
Part of the old stone church.
The whole old stone church.
Driving around outside of Cam Bay
More driving photos...

There are some repeats here from a while ago...I couldn't seem to delete the photos after I posted them. Hmmm.

Bird...type unknown.

Puppy! Part of the 'pack' that attacked me one morning on my way to work. 5 puppies almost licked me to death.

Finally...pictures.
Habitat House when I left Iqaluit. A roof is a great thing!

Ice down on the beach.
Chicken at the build site. Ignore the kitty litter container in the back.
The guys hanging out looking at Iqaluit.
Some of the wonderful folks I got to build with.
Personalization of a skidoo.
Seal flipper. Caution graphic photo coming up...
Dead seal.
Skidoos waiting for their next trip out on the ice.
My attempt at an artsy photo. Dead baby doll.
Line of old posts at old Dewline site in Iqaluit.
Dead flower.
Traditional type canvas tent.
Jim waving hello.
Enjoying the view.
Edmonton team enjoys the ice.
Ice in Apex.
At the build site. Sea container for storing all our 'stuff'. The shack on the left was the 'work shed' with boots and food, etc inside. Note lovely picnic table between buildings.
Skidoos waiting to go out.
In progress.
Some of the family members watching their house go up.

Helping build the outer walls.

Trip to Iqaluit for the Habitat build.
Lilac bush outside my apartment in Edmonton. How nice it was.
Hay River, NWT. Bigger than expected.
June 1--ducks in Cambridge Bay.

I did make it back to Edmonton on Friday night. I spent Saturday in an almost hermit like condition with a trip to the grocery store as the highlight to the day. Sunday I went to a movie and then did some shopping. I'm hoping for some additional R&R on Monday...ah...holiday. Thank goodness cause I am still bushed, but not tired at the moment. Figures.
I have a ton of pictures to post for you...but haven't even opened my suitcases to unpack so you will need to wait longer for pics.
Bought a travel book on Italy yesterday and am hoping to have a more concrete plan by the middle of September. I think I even have someone to go with...so that is exciting. Relax, it is a female friend and not some romantic interest I have been holding back on. I'm happy to have something to focus energies on and love planning...so the longer I get to plan the better. Trip is tentatively booked for March.
While I have bought groceries twice in the past two days I still haven't managed to buy 'food' you know...stuff to make meals out of. Maybe tomorrow. I am starting from scratch after all in the re-filling of my pantry. The new grocery store a couple blocks from my house makes me happy. T&T Grocery...a Chinese grocery store that is the size of a regular supermarket. It's big and bright and has a great fruit and veggie section. Mmmmm. Fresh fruit.
Ok...more when I feel less lazy.
