Hen and chicks found in the front yard of the house. Nice plant that likes to grow close to the ground and needs very little in the line of tlc.

Roses...the bush there roses are on has been in front of the house since we moved in 23 years ago. It never fails to produce a lot of blooms and again requires no work. That's my kind of garden.

Me playing a bit with the colour. The soft pale pink is so very nice.

Part of the family. She looks happy because she was about to go for a drive in the truck--one of her favorite things.

Heather. Found along the beach in Victoria. Dries as is...makes great filler for bouquets.

A couple of other members of the family. Who doesn't like a walk on the beach?

Ok, I looked and looked but didn't see the hen and chicks.

Very pretty roses though and the walk on the beach looks very relaxing.

I suppose "Big Red" didn't mind taking a little doggie for a ride.

Sounds like you are fitting right into the style of PEI life again.

Hi Jennifer;

Lovely pics of course (never saw the chicks though). The roses are lovely and neat how you lightened for second picture of them. I must learn more about how to use my new camera!! I haven't taken the time to explore the CD to see what it can do - I'm the typical person using the point and shoot mode.

I was in Victoria yesterday, my mom and I took off and as we didn't have a plan, decided to go and get a lemon lime chocolate - they are really yummy! We each got a dozen for our secret stash. We wandered around for quite a while, checking out the little shops. It is such a quaint little village, and great that it is so busy this year. We were talking to Marie (Red Island Jewellry) and she indicated this has been her best summer since she opened there. She has a beautiful garden in her back yard, we got to see it as mom knows her. Also, her items are really great too, good place to go if you're looking for some one of a kind jewels.

Hope the job is going well, I guess you are still with someone else and not on your own yet, that will be when you really know how it is.

I assume the pretty dog is the family pet, he's very cute, and, no doubt, loves the beach. The weather has been perfect for a stroll on any beach. Joe's family used to go to what they called Hampton beach growing up (he's from Kelly's Cross), it's a great spot for kids, especially at low tide - lots of room to run, splash and play.

Take care ... Lori B.
